L’association sans but lucratif, Congo agissant pour l’enfant et femme vulnérables, COAEFV Asbl est préoccupée par la nécessité de l’intégration du « Kiswahili » à tous les niveaux du système éducatif Congolais. Dans cette optique, l’association de droit Congolais a rappelée la place prépondérante que devrait occuper cette langue dans les structures d’enseignement Nationale en RDC.
C’était à l’occasion d’une activité organisée ce dimanche, 7 juillet 2024 à Goma par ses membres, pour célébrer la journée mondiale du « Kiswahili » que l’association sans but lucratif, Congo agissant pour l’enfant et femme vulnérables, COAEFV Asbl en sigle, a devant la Presse, exprimée la vision de sa lutte pour l’intégration de la langue swahili à tous les niveaux du système éducatif Congolais.
Une activité commémorative de la journée mondiale dédiée au « Kiswahili », décidée par l’assemblée générale des Nations-Unies dans sa résolution 71/328 portant sur multilinguisme du 7 juillet 2017. Pour l’année 2024, la journée a été placée sous le thème « Le Kiswahili : éducation et culture de la paix ».
cet événement était une occasion pour COAEFV Asbl de faire la promotion et la vulgarisation de la langue swahili, a indiqué, SAWY BAENI, responsable des projets et fundraising de l’association.

« Notre idée, c’est de vouloir vulgarisé la langue swahili à travers le monde parce que, elle est déjà une langue internationalement acceptée et, au niveau de la RDC, elle fait partie de nos 4 langues nationales, c’est important que nous puissions procéder à cette promotion et COAEFV en tant qu’organisation des droits humains, nous sommes en train de travailler dans la promotion de cette langue parce que parmi nos domaines d’intervention, nous avons aussi la promotion des langues nationales ».
cette promotion de la langue swahili par COAEFV, s’inscrit dans le cadre du programme « SHAUKIDU », implémenté par l’association et qui vise à faire parlé le swahili et sa considération dans système éducatif en RDC.
Selon Maître SAWY BAENI, la vulgarisation de cette langue est d’une importance capitale « imaginez dans les zones rurales, nous avons beaucoup de personnes qui n’ont pas eu la chance d’étudier ou un accès facile aux structures éducationnelles, mais avec cette langue, elles auront la chance de connaître et de comprendre le contenu de la vulgarisation et la sensibilisation que nous serons en train de mener », poursuit le responsable des projets de COAEFV.
pour célébrer la journée mondiale du « Kiswahili », l’association a réuni une quarantaine de personnes issues de toutes les couches sociales, les étudiants, y compris.

À l’heure actuelle, différentes raisons ont motivé les membres de COAEFV a célébré la journée mondiale du « Kiswahili ». Selon KAMBALE KENDA-KENDA Albert « plusieurs raisons nous poussent à célébrer cette journée, mais, d’une manière particulière cinq. Nous célébrons la journée mondiale du swahili parce qu’il est une langue en République Démocratique du Congo. Deuxièmement, le swahili a été désigné comme une langue de l’Union Africaine.
Troisièmement, le swahili a été reconnu par l’organisme des Nations-Unies au même titre que l’anglais, le français, le portugais…comme toutes les autres langues du monde.
En quatrième lieu, le swahili est utilisé par les commerçants dans leurs échanges et enfin, le swahili est une langue d’unité et maternelle pour certains.
Et ici chez nous en RDC, le swahili est une langue nationale. C’est pourquoi, celui qui peut parler, dialoguer, écrire et se défendre en swahili aura la facilité de comprendre d’autres langues à travers le monde « , a conclu, le coordonnateur national adjoint de COAEFV Asbl.
