À l’occasion de la Conférence Scientifique tenue au Campus du Lac sous thème, »Introduction de la technique moderne hyfosy: une première au Nord-Kivu », l’Université de Goma et son partenaire, Clinique Notre Vie, viennent de lancer ce samedi 17 janvier 2026, une campagne spéciale de prise en charge de l’infertilité et de la stérilité du couple, dans cette Province de l’Est de la RDC.
Introduit pour la première fois dans la région, l’Hystérosalpingo Foam monographie (HYFOSY) est une innovation majeure dans le diagnostic moderne de l’infertilité, consistant à vérifier la perméabilité des trompes de Fallope, causant moins de douleurs possible aux patientes.
« Dans notre contexte, l’accès limité des outils de diagnostic moderne, sûr et abordable, mesure des obstacles majeurs à une prise en charge efficace. C’est dans cette optique que Clinovie a pris l’initiative d’introduire pour la première fois au Nord-Kivu, la technique hyfosy, une méthode innovante sans radiation, moins douloureuse et réalisable en temps réel », a déclaré, Zita Mumbere, Directrice de la Clinique Notre Vie.
Cette technique représente également, une avancée significative pour l’évaluation de la perméabilité du père et de l’anatomie utérine tout en respectant la sécurité et la dignité des patientes, a-t-elle ajouté.
De manière générale, l’infertilité constitue un problème de santé pour plusieurs couples en RDC, et particulièrement dans notre province du Nord-Kivu, indique le Chef de bureau informations sanitaires, communication et recherche, au sein de la Division Provinciale de la Santé du Nord-Kivu.
L’organisation de la conférence scientifique n’est qu’un début d’une série d’activités de sensibilisation au tour de cette nouvelle technique. L’objectif pour l’Université de Goma et son partenaire est de rendre l’hyfosy accessible à toute femme vivante à Goma qui a le problème de stérilité.
La perception au tour de l’infertilité d’un couple
D’après les intervenants de la Conférence Scientifique organisée à l’Université de Goma, la perception de l’infertilité évolue d’un milieu à un autre.
« Quand on parle de l’infertilité dans le couple, la perception diffère selon qu’on est en occident ou en Afrique. Mais, l’OMS considère qu’il y a l’infertilité que lorsqu’après un an de vie commune, avec une activité sexuelle normale, un couple n’arrive pas à concevoir ou à faire un enfant », à dit Docteur SEFU Massamba Polydor, Gynécologue-Obstétricien.
En matière de santé de la reproduction en République démocratique du Congo, « l’infériorité constitue aujourd’hui, un véritable enjeux de santé Publique souvent entouré de silence, de stigmatisation, de détresse psychologique pour le couple concerné », souligne madame Zita Mumbere.
Principale origine de l’infertilité
Les statistiques fournies au niveau de certaines structures sanitaires à travers le continent Africain et une étude menée par des spécialistes Congolais, démontrent que l’infertilité est avant tout, d’origine tubaire, manifestée lorsque les trompes sont bouchées.
Pour Mali médical, 59,8% et Elikia 59% de patientes enregistrées en 2024 leurs cas étaient liés aux problèmes des trompes. Au Congo-Kinshasa, les études effectuées par le Docteur Kalume et ses collaborateurs en 2010, relèvent que 61,7 % de cas de l’infertilité sont dues à des problèmes de trompes.
Il y a lieu de dire que 61 % de femmes qui se plaignent de stérilité, ont pour problème d’origine tubaire, conclut Docteur SEFU Massamba qui a animé la Conférence Scientifique, à l’Unigom.
Selon l’expert, la question de stérilité en RDC est non seulement un problème communautaire, il est également sanitaire. Dans certains coins du pays, il est encore difficile de trouver les matériels nécessaires pour les soins adéquats à la pathologie.
« Au moins 62 % de femmes stériles, qui vont chez les médecins dans les zones où on ne peut pas faire d’exploration tubaire, sont victimes d’abus ou bien d’acharnement thérapeutique, c’est-à-dire tout simplement, une femme qui a des trompes bouchées, arrive chez un médecin qui n’a rien pour savoir si les trompes sont bouchées, lui prescrit des anti-inflammatoires qui n’auront aucun effet sur sa pathologie », explique-t-il.
Il reconnaît toutefois que l’abus commis par les médecins dans cette situation là, est lié à un manque des moyens nécessaires et reste souvent non intentionnel, d’où l’importance d’introduire la technique »hyfosy » dans le traitement de stérilité.
Les stratégies adoptées par l’État Congolais dans promotion de la fertilité des couples
Dans le plan de développement sanitaire et de prévoyance sociale de la RDC, les prestations de soins, le développement des ressources humaines et la technologie d’appuis aux soins contribuent à l’amélioration de la qualité des soins et la prise en charge de différents couples, ils constituent les piliers du système de santé et la pierre angulaire sur laquelle il faut agir pour renforcer le système de santé, déclare le représentant de la DPS.
Pour apporter une réponse adéquate au problème, le Programme National de Santé de la Reproduction a élaboré un plan stratégique dont une composante concerne la lutte contre l’infertilité et les troubles sexuels, principalement, la prévention et la prise en charge de la stérilité et des problèmes sexuels au sein du couple ce qui cadre directement avec le thème de notre conférence scientifique, déclare-t-il.
En organisant cette activité qui a réuni, étudiants, enseignants et professionnels de santé, l’Université de Goma et la Clinique Notre Vie s’inscrivent dans une démarche de responsabilité sociale, d’excellence médicale et de formation continue, en adoptant une approche de collaboration institutionnelle comme levier essentiel de développement du système de santé en RDC.
