Bintou Keita est arrivée à Goma ce jeudi, 12 juin 2025, pour une visite de trois jours, au cours de laquelle elle rencontrera les représentants de l’AFC/M23 afin d’échanger sur les priorités du mandat de la MONUSCO, notamment la protection des civils.
Selon la représentante du secrétaire général de l’ONU, sa mission s’inscrit dans le cadre de solidarité envers la population de Goma, et au personnel de la MONUSCO présent dans la ville.
« Je suis ici pour écouter et exprimer ma solidarité avec la population de Goma et avec le personnel de la MONUSCO. Votre résilience est remarquable. », a-t-elle déclaré.
Arrivée à Goma par hélicoptère, une première fois cinq mois depuis que la ville de Goma est sous contrôle de l’Alliance Fleuve Congo/Mouvement du 23 Mars en janvier dernier.
