RDC : plus de trente écoles primaires de Goma participent au concours « Champions des mots « pour promouvoir la francophonie

Plus de trente écoles primaires de la ville de Goma, dans la province du Nord-Kivu, dans l’Est de la République démocratique du Congo (RDC), ont pris part samedi 7 mars 2026 à un concours interscolaire d’orthographe baptisé « Champions des mots « .

Organisée dans la grande salle du Collège Mwanga, cette activité a été initiée par un Consortium des organisations auquel, DDK Ministries et Smile Africa en collaboration avec Annovert Grands Lacs ont contribué pour son lancement. L’objectif est de promouvoir la francophonie et d’améliorer la maîtrise de l’écriture et de la prononciation du français chez les élèves du niveau primaire.

À l’issue de cette première journée de compétition, un jury composé d’un expert et d’une formatrice en français ainsi que d’un enseignant de français et de latin du Collège Mwanga a proclamé trois écoles gagnantes : l’école primaire Maman Mulezi, Majengo et Tshipuko.

La victoire de ces établissements témoigne du niveau de préparation de leurs représentants, a estimé Bangaanyigabo Ingandahimana Gabriel, élève de sixième année à l’école primaire Maman Mulezi.

« Nous étions confiants et nous savions que nous pouvions battre les autres écoles. Je me sens très heureux et je félicite mes coéquipiers qui ont bien répondu aux différentes questions », a-t-il déclaré.

Même si plus de vingt écoles n’ont pas réussi à satisfaire aux exigences du jury, les élèves restent optimistes. Tshibola Tshibangu Joyce, élève de cinquième année à l’école primaire Shaba, estime que cette expérience reste enrichissante.

« Même si nous avons échoué, ce n’est pas grave. Il y aura d’autres opportunités. L’essentiel est d’apprendre et d’acquérir des connaissances », a-t-elle affirmé.

À travers ce concours d’orthographe basé sur l’épellation des mots, les organisateurs espèrent non seulement améliorer l’apprentissage du français dans les écoles, mais aussi contribuer à former une génération de jeunes capables de bien communiquer.
