Ce vendredi 28 mars 2025, à l’Hôtel Serena de Goma, dans la partie Est de la République Démocratique du Congo, une réunion s’est tenue entre les chefs d’état-major des forces de défenses de la Communauté de développement de l’Afrique australe, SADC et les autorités Militaires de l’Alliance Fleuve Congo/M23. L’objectif était de discuter sur les modalités du retrait immédiat de la force régionale de la SADC, SAMI-DRC, de la ville de Goma, Capitale provinciale du Nord-Kivu.

Selon l’acte d’engagement publié à l’issue de la rencontre, les deux parties ont réaffirmé leurs engagements en faveur d’un cessez-le-feu immédiat et d’un retrait inconditionnel de la SAMI-DRC. 

Par la même occasion, l’AFC-M23 a accepté de faciliter le départ immédiat des troupes de la SADC avec leurs armes et équipements, tout en laissant sur place les armes et matériels des FARDC actuellement en leur possession. 

Les parties ont également convenu que l’AFC-M23 doit coordonner la liberté de mouvement de la SAMI-DRC en préparation du retrait conformément aux principes convenus. Par ailleurs, les deux parties faciliteront l’évaluation par l’équipe technique conjointe de l’état de l’aéroport international de Goma en vue de sa réouverture, noté le document.
