Nord-Kivu: AWANA réunit 20 églises de Goma pour la cause des enfants chrétiens

Réunis en session de formation ce vendredi 25 Avril 2025 à Goma, au moins 20 églises de différentes confessions protestantes ont répondu à l’appel lancé par l’organisation non gouvernementale, AWANA (Approved workmen are not ashamed), au total, 60 participants parmi lesquels, pasteurs et Moniteurs ont été formés sur l’encadrement des enfants dans différentes églises de la place.

Selon Raphaël Lumoo, l’objectif poursuivi est de redynamiser les églises partenaires qui utilisent le programme d’encadrement de « AWANA » qui, suite à la guerre, certains encadreurs ont fui et d’autres, ont abandonné la mission, a-t-il dit.

Nous sommes AWANA qui est un ministère qui encadre les enfants à travers les églises dans le monde dont les activités ont été lancées en rdc deja avec plus de 200 eglises partenaires.

Alors, nous avons organisé cette activité pour redynamiser, les moniteurs et les églises partenaires de AWANA ici à Goma puisque nous avons trouvé que beaucoup de moniteurs que nous avons formés la fois passée. 

Certains sont partis, ils ont fui à cause de la guerre et d’autres, ont abandonné cette vocation d’encadrement des enfants dans les églises.

C’est pourquoi nous avons pensé organiser cette activité en faveur des 60 participants dont les révérends pasteurs, mais aussi, les encadreurs de différentes églises.

Par cette formation, Awana contribue et faciliterait l’encadrement et les enseignements dispensés aux enfants, estime, Kavira Kikako Dorcas, l’une des motrices formées qui se veut rassurante à bien menée sa mission dans son église EBI/Mission Virunga.

Cette activité a été organisée pour redynamiser d’abord les églises partenaires de l’organisation AWANA qui utilisent ses programmes d’encadrement des enfants à travers les jeux, la Parole de Dieu, mais également, d’autres activités religieuses qui amènent les enfants à connaître, à aimer et à être serviteurs de Dieu dans leur vie, a renseigné Raphaël Lumoo.

L’organisation des jeux dans les églises est loin d’être une initiative anodine, c’est bien plutôt, une façon pour l’organisation, de prendre en charge les enfants d’une manière psychologique.

Aussi, différents jeux peuvent préparer les enfants à mieux écouter la parole de Dieu après s’être amusés. 

À l’Est de la République Démocratique du Congo, les enfants sont affectés par les conflits armés alors, les jeux ont un grand rôle dans leur santé psychique. Dans la communauté, les enfants sont attirés à la place où les jeux sont organisés, et nous profitons de cette occasion pour les enseigner, poursuit-il.

La formation des responsables et encadreurs des différentes églises, une priorité pour Pasteure Joyce Matata Ulimwengu, qui pour elle, les enfants restent le présent et l’avenir de l’évangélisation dans la région.

La prochaine étape c’est le suivi dans différentes églises et nous allons faire des visites dans les églises qui utilisent déjà ce programme, juste pour améliorer leur prise en charge, leurs services en faveur des enfants.
