Sous le financement du Rotary district 5080, des dizaines de femmes Manutentionnaires et victimes de la crise humanitaire au Nord-Kivu à l’Est de la République Démocratique du Congo ont été assistées ce jeudi 03 avril 2025, à Goma par le « Rotary club of Global Action for Refugees and Forced Migrants ».
Au total Soixante (60) femmes Manutentionnaires et victimes de la crise humanitaire qu’a traversée la province du Nord-Kivu d’une manière générale et plus particulièrement, la ville de Goma, secouée par des affrontements guerriers à la fin du mois de janvier dernier, se sont vu ciblées et identifiées par les équipes du Club.
Assistées d’une manière purement humanitaire, ces femmes ont bénéficié de plus de 180 produits d’hygiène féminine en raison de de trois paquets de cotex par personne, un sac de farine de maïs d’une valeur de 10 Kilogrammes, des savons pour la propriété corporelle et 1 kilogramme du sucre, leur ont été distribués.
Cette aide humanitaire a été motivée par la crise humanitaire qu’a endurée la ville de Goma dans les deux mois passés… notre organisation n’oeuvre pas à Goma, mais nous avons pu plaider en faveur de bénéficiaires en passant par le Rotary du district 5080 et aux États-Unis, nous avons pu avoir les donateurs par le biais de notre Club. Nous venons d’assister ces femmes en vivres et non-vivres qui intègrent également, les kits hygiéniques, a indiqué LUGEYO BINJA ARNAUD, directeur des programmes du Rotary club.
Depuis plusieurs années, l’Est de la RDC fait face à des conflits armés incessants dont les derniers affrontements entre les forces armées de la République Démocratique du Congo (FARDC) et le groupe armé du mouvement du 23 mars (M23) en coalition avec l’alliance fleuve Congo a eu des impacts néfastes sur le plan humanitaire en ville de Goma, Capitale de la Province du Nord-Kivu.
Pour LUGEYO BINJA ARNAUD, directeur des programmes du « Rotary club Global Action for Refugees and Forced Migrants », cette aide humanitaire répond aux objectifs de leur organisation, Rotary International dans la mesure où, elle lutte pour la paix à travers le Monde et en Afrique.
Les femmes bénéficiaires de l’aide humanitaire donnée ce jour, ont exprimé leur reconnaissance à l’organisation qui, selon elles, soulagent la souffrance du moment difficile qu’elles traversent en cette période où, leurs activités quotidiennes, la manutention ne paient plus à cause de la crise qui frappe la ville, a témoignée NYBATWA Domina, l’une des bénéficiaires qui, lors de la distribution se trémoussant de joie.
